Atlanta offers numerous places that make recycling those hard to recycle items a breeze

Livethrive Atlanta operates the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials or CHaRM. It is a permanent drop-off facility that aims to improve our environmental health by encouraging reuse and diverting thousands of pounds of household hazardous waste, bulky trash and other hard to recycle items from Metro-Atlanta landfills and water systems.Please visit their website for the most current list of items accepted.

Department of Public Works - 3rd Saturday each month
Electronics, polystyrene, tires, and clothing may be recycled. Single-stream recycling and paper shredding are also provided. Metal is not accepted unless it a household item such as tin or aluminum cans which would be included in the curbside single-stream recycling.

Life Cycle Building Center (LBC) is a community-based warehouse facility that directly assists the general public by identifying and implementing best practice green building-related concepts. The idea is to reduce solid waste disposal, promote resource efficiency, stimulate economic development, and empower every citizen to improve their own built environment.
